Durban International Film Festival 2025

The 46th edition of the Durban International Film Festival kicks off this July. The festival runs from Thursday, 17 July to Sunday, 27 July This film festival is the oldest and largest film festival in Southern Africa, presenting over 100 screenings. Festivalgoers can participate in workshops, seminars, and outreach activities, including screenings in township areas where cinemas are unavailable.
This year there are several screenings of features, documentaries, short films, and student films from Cape Town.
The Film Cape Town team will be at the Durban Film Mart, located in the exhibition hall at the Elangeni Hotel, stand B, from Thursday, July 17 to Monday, July 21. The team will be available to assist with permitting needs, provide advice on regulations and funding, and facilitate connections to local Cape Town resources to help make your production a success.
